Our Why

In February 2020, our founder Pete lost his beloved Dad to suicide.

Paul Crocombe was 63 years old and had been an inspirational teacher for 38 of those years. He was a brilliant sportsman who inspired thousands of children on the pitch and in the classroom during his career.

For Pete, having lived his dream job for 7 years hosting and running holidays and events around the world with some of the most recognisable figures in sport, his Dad's passing triggered a new chapter.

With a newfound passion, focus and determination, career opportunities began to present themselves and so the Ordinary Sports Group was born in February 2021.

Since then, the OSG are proud to have helped conceptualise and deliver events and campaigns with over £3 million raised for charity.

Pete's personal quest to shout about his Dad and raise awareness around mental health has also continued to grow, raising over £120,000 in Paul's name at Sport in Mind, through various challenges and campaigns.
